Winter is friggin’ great! And I really believe that.
I know there are a few folks around here who agree with me, but I also know there are a lot more people who DON’T agree with me. A. Lot.
Years ago, I was definitely in the I hate winter camp. I loathed it. From the cold, to the oppressive darkness and lack of sunshine, to the godawful work commute. I can still remember 2+ hour commutes from Cleveland out to Twinsburg on snowy days. Way more than the normal 30-45 minute run.
But a few things happened to make me change my mind:
- I got a dog that was part husky and that dopey, loveable fellow could not get enough of the snow;
- I joined Centric Consulting in a remote role (pre-Covid) so no more white-knuckle commutes;
- I rediscovered our incredibly beautiful local park system here in The Land.
Those factors combined to get me out hiking in the snow more and more often to the point where I really look forward to it when a snowstorm rolls through.
With that big buildup, here are a few pics from my wanderings in The Land over the past couple of months.

I hope you enjoy these images and hope it helps you appreciate the beauty in the area after a snowfall. And I hope it encourages you to do yourself a favor and hit up one of our beautiful parks for a little snowy nature time. You’ll be glad you did!
