On March 22, 2025 dads and kids gathered at the remodeled Woodland branch of the Cleveland Public Library for a special event called A Date with Dad. It was an opportunity for dads to learn about the importance of reading to their children and some quality time for the kids and their fathers.
It was sponsored by TV broadcaster Danita Harris and her organization S.H.I.N.E. Men of Integrity as well as author Margaret Bernstein and the Healthy Fathering Collaborative. Peter Lawson Jones served as the MC and he introduced former Cleveland Browns NFL star and 3-time Pro Bowler Josh Cribbs.
Josh spoke about how important it is for dads to read to their kids and to be there for them. He said moms may be the Superman but Dads have to be the Batman and lay the foundation in the household. He then read a book by Margaret Bernstein to the kids and dads.
