The Western Reserve Land Conservancy hosted a celebration marking the 10-year anniversary of their Reforest Our City (ROC) program at Thurgood Marshall Green.

Over the past decade, the ROC program has planted more than 18,000 trees across the City of Cleveland, helping to expand our urban tree canopy and strengthen neighborhoods throughout the city. There was a program with speakers and a tree planting.
The program was MC’d by Chief Advocacy Officer Matt Zone and featured remarks from CEO Rich Cochran, Ohio State Rep Eric Synenberg and State Senator Kent Smith, Cleveland City Council President Blaine Griffin, Cleveland City Councilwoman Stephanie Howse-Jones, Jasmine Butler, District Director for Shontel Brown’s office, Phil Jubert, Commissioner of Urban Forestry, City of Cleveland, Jameesha Alexander, NuPoint CDC, Phil Kidd, Cleveland Foundation, Sara Tillie – Director of the Cleveland Tree Coalition and Tom Schreiber, Senior Manager of Community Forestry.
