The Welcome Celebration (6:00pm-9pm. Date: July 13th, 2024. Location: Downtown at Mall C.) will be the official start of the Games, when all of the athletes march on to Mall C with a big community welcome! After a short ceremony, the event turns into a festival with food trucks, vendor booths, and activities celebrating all that is Cleveland.

From 5:15pm- 7pm there will be a High Five tunnel. We are currently recruiting youth sports groups to represent Cleveland by high-fiving the athletes as they march into the celebration. We are hoping to recruit 120-160 kids for this purpose.

In addition, we are currently recruiting local ethnic representatives to hold national flags, representing each of the participating countries in the Pan-Am Games.

Also, we’re seeking local athletes to participate in the Be Bold Be Loud Be Proud video campaign. Athletes can submit a short video explaining why sports are important to them and why they’re excited for the Pan-American Masters Games.

There will also be a community 5K on the final day of competition (7/21) to connect the community with those from outside the area. We’d welcome any promotion – Community engagement.
